attorney? Arbitration under Business & Professions Code sections
6200-6206 is voluntary for a client, unless the parties agreed in
writing to submit their fee dispute to arbitration, and mandatory for an
attorney if commenced by a client.

& Information Service - Need a lawyer? Our Lawyer Referral
and Information Service
is certified by both the State Bar of California (Certification Number
18) and by the American Bar Association.
Moderate Means Program - Do you have a legal
issue in the field of family law? If you qualify according to the program income
guidelines the Moderate Means Program will refer you to an attorney who
charges a reduced retainer fee and reduced hourly rates. This is

Small
Claims Court Advisor and Workshop Information - The
Superior Court of California County of Contra Costa provides a
Small Claims Court Advisor service. Each month the advisor offers
a free 2-1/2 hour "How to Use the Small Claims
Court" seminar at various dates, times, and locations
throughout the county.

IT TAKES TWO
This 40 minute film follows two teens beginning the night of
junior prom and ends a year later in a courtroom where they learn
first-hand the legal and financial realities that result when two young
people become parents of an unexpected child. The program provides
a non-judgmental, realistic look at teen parenting and an opportunity
for teens to think first and decide what their future will be. DVDs are available
at Contra Costa County libraries.
TURNING 18: YOUNG PEOPLE AND THE LAW
What are the rights and responsibilities of those turning 18? This
workshop by the Contra Costa County Lawyer Referral Service is designed
for people turning 18 or parents with children turning 18.
